Ami and Gabriel

I can't be the only one who thinks this comic needs more love.

So, I was chatting with StickFreeks the other day, and somewhere along the lines she brought up her comic "Penciled In." I've read it (multiple times now) and think it's adorable, even with the various flaws in the storytelling (bearing in mind, she wrote it in junior high). We discussed the possibility of her rebooting it as something to work on alongside Fairy Foxes, and at my offering and her request, I wrote a review of it to point out what could be fixed or updated. Along the way, I thought to myself, "This is really awesome! I would love to see more Penciled In!"

And so, since I now have it stuck on my mind, I give to you the leading characters, Ami and Gabriel! I won't talk too much about them here. For your own sake, go read the actual comic: fav.me/d6rd961 It's well worth the time.

I think I did alright on this. I wasn't going for anything spectacular, so pardon me if it's not perfect. Ami's cute, but she looks so different in my style! Gabe gave me some trouble for a while, but he turned out cool. Hope you guys like!

Also, for those who actually know/care about my musical inspiration, I listened solely to two songs on repeat as I drew this: "Love Today" by Mika, which I haven't listened to in a long time and forgot how much I loved! ...and "Angels" by Owl City, for fairly obvious reasons.
